How much interest could we generate for a Sonic in the Lakenheath/Mildenhall area?

AFCartoonist --- 12 years ago -

It won't happen.

O.o (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

I would frequent that establishment!! :D

Peace --- 12 years ago -

Mmmm....strawberry limeade....

Jeni --- 12 years ago -

Mmmmm...Cherry limeade... :)

a3796410uu --- 12 years ago -

That would be ok, or a chik-fil-a...

I am trying to talk a buddy of mine that owns 2 Brazilian Steakhouses into opening one out here. Imagine a restaurant where you can pay 20 pounds and eat all of the 11 different cuts of meat and sald bar would be... The nearest one is in Ipswich.

Peace --- 12 years ago -

What's this steakhouse in Ipswich you speak of??

a3796410uu --- 12 years ago -

Rios Brazilian Steakhouse... All you can eat for about 20 pounds per person. Call for a reservation. Sundays is cheaper... 17.95 per person, kids half price. If you go, tell them you are from the area with all of the military bases so they will hurry up and open one here...

Where do they get the meat? England's beef is horrid.

AFCartoonist --- 12 years ago -

England's beef is horrid.

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I buy all of the meat I eat from the commissary, and the meat at Rio's tastes better than that... I have heard that the meat over here isn't any good, so I have never tried any other than Rio's...

Yeah our steak sucks big time.Whenever we are having a BBq we get a friend to empty the commisary on lakenheath Ribeye OOOHHH

Peace --- 12 years ago -

I'm sooo tired of my British "friends" asking me to buy them stuff from the commissary. I feel like a lot of them seek out Americans to friend just for that reason. Not saying that's you Jullie, just my experiences.

Jeni --- 12 years ago -

Yeah, I have to say I bristled a bit by the "empty the commissary" line-although Jullie I know you we're joking.
We have a commissary to offset our costs of living & to help bring a little bit of home into our lives, so I resent the attitude of wiping out the shelves because it's not available or too expensive on the economy.
We lived at one overseas base where shipments were regularly held up due to weather & our shelves would go empty for a while, because the locals with shopping privileges would buy carts full for their friends and neighbors.

And Peace, I've had people come up and introduce themselves and in the same introduction, list all of the American things their "friends used to buy" for them that they "just miss having so much". It doesn't make me want to get to know them better, that's for sure!

Thankfully I haven't had this experience. Maybe I don't have enough friends :P

I know what my neighbors like, and on occasion if I remember I'll grab something for them as a gift, but they never ask for anything. I just wish my British coworkers were allowed to go get a salad or sandwich at the commissary.
