I can't believe they are still out, it has been forever! I've needed it for my infant. When I had to take him to ER a month or so ago they gave me a list of the British equivalents you can buy off of base. Super helpful! Thought I'd pass it on in case anyone else needs.

Tylenol- Paracetamol
Calpol
Infadrops

Motrin- Nurofen
Brufen

I found the infant paracetamol and Nurofen in the medicine aisle at Sainsburys. They were only £2 something each. 

They have been out the whole time I've been here, well when I looked anyway. Thanks for the list. 

We've actually preferred Calpol. Base stores, who needs 'em!
Funny story: once when one of the kids was ill, I asked a British friend what she gave to her kids. With her British accent and the way she spoke so quickly, I had to ask her several times and then have her SPELL it for me. I though she was saying "cow pie" 

I just went and looked and Calpol is the one I got. I think a lot of them said paracetamol on them.

I prefer paracetamol/calpol. I never see any liquid tylenol, just pills like tylenol pm.

We use Neurofen for kids (ibuprofen) and Calpol with all the problems with Tylenol recalls ive ALWAYS used Calpol - My mum used to send it to me when we were in the States. There is also 'Calprofen' which is Calpol's version of infant ibuprofen. 

I think that some of the supermarkets and chemists do their own brand paediatric paracetamol suspension which usually sells for a bit cheaper than Calpol.It's worth asking.
