I need some advice or just information. Last November, a door salesman came to our door and sold my husband a coat of arms. They took his credit card information, and told us it would be 6 monthly payments starting in Jan. and then 12 weeks later we'd recieve our order. Well 12 weeks is almost up, and I've heard nothing from the company. They've not taken out an excess or money, but we've not heard anything from the company. I keep getting thier BT voicemail. They company was Guild of Sales and Marketing Personnel, LTD. Has anyone here used them?? They came around last year in early November. Who would I go to, if I feel like we were ripped off? I'd really like to get our money or prosecute if this is a scam! Please help with your suggestions!

Hi lisa, if this was paid with a UK credit card, you should be covered under Section 75. Call the card company and explain that the company have not delivered and they should be able to charge back. if you paid on a US credit card it gets a bit more complicated, although the local FHDC trading standards office may be able to help. Can you check the company name on the credit card transaction log, as the name you gave does not show at companies house as a trading company ?? 

Whats funny, is I literally just got a call from them, and they have set up a date to drop off. I was just sooo worried that I haven't heard from them the entire time to even tell us they recieved it themselves, so I was really scared. Also, you never know if you can trust a doors salesmen. There are soo many scams going on. Thanks for your help!! 

We ordered from them and never had a problem. 

We have worked with them twice now on two different coat of arms. Never had any problems. Although they did seem to take FOREVER to get back to me.

we received our merchandise this Sun! And it was very nice. Like I said, I wasn't sure if we were ripped off. I am used to being contacted a bit more, and have never bought anything from a door to door salesman. Thanks everyone for the advice. I recommend the company, just be prepared to not be contacted until it's time for the stuff to be dropped off.
