Does anyone know the guy who puts out warning lights on cars? He did have an ad on lys, offering to put the lights out for $5 !!!! BUT I can't find the ad now :(
A lady has phoned me saying that she has an airbag light on!
Many thanks in advance :)

Hey Kerrie, not sure if this helps but I can try. I don't know the person you're referring to, but I do know that most autoshops have the ability to reset the lights if it's a major concern.

That said...I'd watch out for anybody who offers to just turn off those lights for $5. They probably aren't going to find out if something really IS wrong with the airbag and that's one of those things that might not be worth skimping out on. :)

Yeh, I'd take it to a garage so they can check out the airbag before resetting the light. I'm guessing if its come on something must need looking at.

True, thank you both. Any recommendations?

You need to be careful cause sometimes having those lights turned off can cause the computer to lose the code that made it go off in the first place. Like mentioned above....it's best to have it checked rather than simply reset.

Well so far I've liked the service and C&L (it's the auto shop that's part of the Reliable Rental building). Their hourly rate is pretty cheap comparatively and they've saved me a lot of money on repairs that didn't need doing (for instance - one of my lights was on too and it turned out to be I hit a bump too hard).

If you have some flexibility and are willing to go towards Feltwell, there's another smaller family autoshop there that I really REALLY loved. The guy doesn't talk much, but when he does it's pretty to the point. He charged me less/hr BUT he's also VERY by the book. Which means if he does ur MOT, for instance, there's no getting away with anything. :)

I always trust Horner Bros on the Mildenhall industrial estate to sort out any electrical probs with my car. Really nice guys.

Guess I'd be a bit afraid of anyone offering to 'put my lights out"! Lol!
