I am posting this comment so that I can hopefully prevent any service members from renting from this horrible rental company. I can only hope that this company will soon be blacklisted so that they will not be able to take advantage of service members ever again.

I rented a cargo van so that I can move some furniture. After searching online I chose NSA as they were the cheapest. I guess you really do get what you pay for.

After signing the paperwork and receiving the keys, the owner informed me that the fuel was at half of a tank and that I needed to have it at half when the van is returned. As I drove away I saw that the tank was not half a tank, in fact it was barely a hair over a quarter tank. I took a picture of the fuel gauge and made sure that there was a date and time stamp so that there could not be any argument. I continued to drive and had my boyfriend call NSA to inform them that the tank was not at half and that we took a picture to show him. The man's customer service left something to be desired. He began to argue that it was close to half a tank ( because apparently I am blind and cannot see for myself). My boyfriend reassured him that it was only a quarter full and that we could send him a picture. The man said never mind and to fill it to the amount that is in the tank.

Later that day when I was finished with the van I drove to the nearest gas station and filled the tank with diesel to the same level that was in the tank when I picked up the van. This is where I apparently made a huge mistake by not getting a receipt for the fuel. Later he tried to act like I was lying about putting gas in the tank.

When I returned to NSA the owner began to argue with me and say that I owed him 10 GBP because I did not put half a tank in the van. This is when my boyfriend showed him the picture and reminded him of their earlier phone conversation. The man continued to argue and explain to me that somehow even though the gauge only showed a quarter that morning, there really was more in the tank and that I did not fill it to that amount. I cannot believe how rude he was and how he obviously was trying to rip me off. He clearly was angry that he was unable to get me to pay for fuel that I did not use.

After reading the many other bad reviews online I wish I had gone with a more respectable company with better customer service skills that are not trying to rip off their customers.

And to the owner, I have time stamped pictures before and after of the fuel gauge so I hope that you think twice before you respond and call me a liar like you did on the other review of your terrible business on this website. If you were an honest and respectable businessman, I highly doubt that you would have to continually defend and argue with the many bad online reviews.

I will keep the reply as short as i am very clear in what we asked you,And that was to return the van with at least the same fuel level that it was taken with.You seemed to have difficulty understanding that so Maybe that is my fault for not explaining it correctly.
As for being rude today i dont accept that sorry.In Future we will take a photo of the fuel level in the vehicle when it is taken to avoid any problems on return.My thoughts were not focussed today they were with my cat who had to be put down at 1pm today.Feel free to carry on and knock me further,Maybe i will get another Stroke over renting cars out,you cant complain to my face it is allways in public.not to worry Tomorrow is another day and the sun is coming out.

PS did u leave a silver Samsung phone in the van? we tried to call a number on it but no answer.

Maybe you really should stop renting cars out. Not meant in any rude way but if my husband was doing a job that stressed him out so much, I don't think I would let him continue...or at least change your role so you're not so stressed. Get someone else to help you deal with complaints and stressful customers.

....keep ur chin up. There's always a silver lining. Sometimes you just have to look harder for it.
