Can anyone tell me a website or let me know what the basic laws are for watching 2-3 kids in your home in The UK is?? 

I'll try & find a website but it's something like 4 hours a week per kid in your own home or something, and for no reward. I think. They toughened laws over here recently & if you want to watch kids in your own home as a child minder you are supposed to get qualified & have your home inspected to make sure its safe. Then you can earn money. 

I do not live on base. So does anyone know who I contact to see the requirements to watch kids here??

Hi, there is some people advertising as baby sitters and they are not qualified for that,so be aware where you put your kids.they are not childminders 

Unless you are related to the child it is now illegal to mind that child for money. There was a case not so long ago about two police women friends who looked after each others kids to fit in with their shifts an ideal solution you would think, but no the powers that be said that even no actual money changed hands they were still breaking the law (rather embarrassing for two police officers!!)
