As most of you know there is a commercial on tv for "AutoGlassRepair". Well I need an MOT done and my windscreen has a small chip but since it's on e drivers side that makes it an automatic fail. So I call " AutoGlassRepair" and they quote me £400 for a new windscreen. I only paid £1500 for the car so I was considering junking the car and receiving money from it and purchasing another.

I went into work later that night. One of my coworkers had the same issue. Buft he found a solution. "BudgetWindscreens". I called and they came to my house the next day and installed my new windscreen for £140. That is a lot better than the first quote £400.

For anyone looking to save money I would recommend "BudgetWindscreens"

Since I only paid £1500 for the car I did not want to pay full coverage at a rate of $2000 a year. So no glass goverage on my liability insurance policy. 

If it was a small chip you should have just bought glass solution for 10 bucks and saved a hundred. The exact same thing happened to my husband's car. He fixed it himself. No new windshield. 

I have a few chips in mine... We wanted to sweat it out since we are PCSing this month. I may have to look into that glass solution. My hubby is pretty handy so I'll have to stick it on his "Honey do list" 

I think he got it at the car care center on lakenheath.
