SLOW down. Lets think about this.... Do you have a stateside license? If so then I suggest you get to a driver's training course ASAP- they are held at the Airman and Family Readiness on Thursdays I believe. Secondly- poor planning on your part.

Understand that you need help and all, but we rented a van when we got here. My Hubby got his license the first week.
This is not the place to be without a license or car. Work on getting a license and buy a cheap car or rent a cheap car.
You shouldn't be taking classes on Lakenheath without a way to get there. Man when people can drive and don't it really gets me going. Be thrilled you have the ability. Get off the pot.

I thought she ment to go to the driving class on Wednesday. At least that is how I read it.

Hmmmmm, well if that is the case, I eat my words.

Um way to jump on her. All she asked was for a ride to beable to drive!
And guess you guys hate me cause I don't drive over here yet either. We get along just fine without me driving. I love walking to town.

I would help you if I were on Feltwell. Is there a taxi company on Feltwell? I know there is here on Mildenhall. That might be an option.

I'm with you on the free riders, can't stand people that don't rent a car when they get here. I mean it's only 50 pounds and you just got a dislocation allowance of nearly or more than $2000, come one.

There's a driving course for dependants? Or do we mean the driving test? I think that is what is meant, surely your husband could buy some time out of work for the morning to let you go to the test? Besides you can drive on your US license for the first 90 days in country, then after that you need the 3AF license or an IDP.

It takes a lot to ask for help when you need it. We should be open to helping one of our own with more than just information and criticism.

Agreed POIA. I would help but I live too far away. The gas would be too much!

I thought the driving test occurred at the initial briefing? Did you not attend that Allie or did you fail the first test?
