I recently left my handbag on my daughters stroller right by my door in Lords Walk by mistake. I am currently a single mother as my spouse is deployed. So, yeah Im busy going crazy and left my darn purse exposed to be stollen. I simply forgot to come back out after putting her in bed and bring the stroller and bag in. So here you have it:

Black satin coach small clutch type bag with gold trimmings and a purple interior. (has a small pocket inside and a zipper pocket inside)

Inside was my debit cards, FL state license, and my painkillers that I really need, and a decent amount of gbp! Luckily my ID wasn't in there!

Heres the deal:

Keep the purse and the money slip my ID, and debit cards into my mail slot and no questions will be asked. Its too difficult to get a copy of my FL ID way over here so that would make me happy if I simply just get that back.

I'm hoping you will do the right thing.

Wow Cassie, that sucks. I really hope your things are returned!

Cassie --- 14 years ago -

Excuse me MitchSquared?

Jeni- Yeah really does suck. But thank you!

Cassie, I think Mitch is reffering to the "Stollen" (Stolen) in the thread title. Don't pay any attention to it.......he likes ruffling feathers in a "friendly" kind of way.

As for your stuff man! That SUCKS! I hope it gets returned and the person that did it learns a lesson from all of this. It's a shame when people are shady like that. Best of luck! :)

Well Mitch didn't ruffle my feathers cause he didn't have the you know whats to stop beating around the bush. : ).. It is extremely hard to type with a 10 month old button mashing your keyboard LOL

Ha!!!! Lol! Well I'll be there soon enough...my newest Son is only 5 days old.

Haha well my daughter thinks my Macbook is hers! Just remember what (you think) is yours you will have to share not only with your wife, but now your Son too! HEEEHEHE.. enjoy the non-mobile stage why your Son is in it! Its game over when he starts crawling.

Agreed! Lol! This is our second child....our first is now 5 and into everything! I had to build him his own computer so he'd stop getting on mine. Wow, they grow up so fast.

Cassie --- 14 years ago -

Yeah, they really do grow up too fast! I miss her staying where I put her. But, at the same time I love how her personality has emerged and she is her own individual. Its nice.

Have you reported this to the local police?

Kate --- 14 years ago -

Sorry this happened to you , but I am curious why you did not report it to the suffolk constabulary. They do have a website if you don't know the number, this is the third post I have seen about stolen items ( stolen camera) few weeks back. why would you not notify the police?Especially if there were pain killers involved. That seems kind of negligent to me.

ShizzleShizzleDizzleDizzle (Mod) --- 14 years ago -

In my experience the Police don't do much. Our car was totaled awhile back and all the bad driver got was a small fine and three days in a driving class. WTF?! If we would have been able to press charges we would have.

That bonehead cost us over $25,000! We didn't get anything outta the deal, all we got was our car totaled by the insurance company and we had to pay outta pocket cause we didn't have GAP insurance. In the end we obviously had no choice but to get another car. So, that set us back another loan. Our car was almost paid off! So yeah, the "Constabulary" didn't do anything except send us a letter informing us the guy got a slap on the wrist.

He could have KILLED my family! If the cops don't take that seriously then some stolen items are bound to end up in a report lining the back of a filing cabinet.

The cops won't do anything since it wasn't a B&E. She didn't see the person. She is smart not to waste her time with the local authorities.
