Does anyone know where I can buy tickets online? Or do I buy them at the train station the day of?

Denise --- 185 days ago -

We normally drive to epping station and just buy the tickets there. they are 7 pounds per person for a day pass and you can travel through all the zones. Even if you're not going to Epping (which I really do reccommend) you can buy the tickets are the station.

You're a life saver today m'dear! Thank you!

Denise --- 185 days ago -

not a problem :-) I am here to help, no matter what anyone says! lol :-D

The tickets are 7 after 9:30, dont forget that, lol. Unless you want to pay 14 per person. :)

930 am or pm?

Denise --- 185 days ago -

9:30 am....right Christina?

Christina --- 185 days ago -

a really cheap way to go to london is drive to epping station which is about 45 minutes away and catch the tube in. The train is kinda expensive for what you get. You can park your car at epping station on the weekends for just a pound all day. Me and my hubby do it at least once a month and save about 30 pounds per person by not taking the train.

We're talking about the tube from Epping, we just called it a train lol

Queenmel --- 184 days ago -

If you have base privilages you can buy your Tube tickets at ITT. We also drive to Epping and take the train in and use the Tube and Bus to get everywhere. Have fun!

Does anyone know how long you can park at the Epping car park? We will be in Paris for a week and was told we could park there for that long, but I was just wondering if anyone has personal experience. Thanks!

Denise --- 183 days ago -

I fI were you Carrie I just wouldn't park at Epping for a week.....get a friend to drop you and pick u up

Lolly --- 182 days ago -

why don't you get a National Express coach to the airport....you can pick up from Mildenhall - they go quite regularly - that's if you can't get anyone to drive you to Epping to pick up the train.....or pick up the train from Cambridge to London.

Christina --- 182 days ago -

Depending on what airport, you can take the shuttle from base, it's free:) They go to Heathrow, and I think Gatwick.

Shannon --- 182 days ago -

They no longer go to Gatwick last I heard.

Lolly --- 182 days ago -

but don't you have to pay still? unless you are going on military business....I thought there was still a charge...

Shannon --- 182 days ago -

Nope, you have to pay if you are on military business... I know.. stupid. If you are on leave or not on orders it is space A but there is normally always room.

I would invest in a railcard while here. You can do this with the national rail on-line. Saves tons of ££.
