I just can't stand it when I or someone decides to sell something of their on LYS. It is hard enough trying to sell something used as it is.But then after I list something I check LYS to see what else it new and I see about 5 of similar items of what I just posted!!!example: I post say a couch! hoping it will sell...selling it for less than what I paid crappy or not i'm still getting less for it. And BAM there we find about 5 couches popping up for sale!!. Now I have to compete with those people!! Maybe good for the buying but bad for the seller!! CAn't people just wait maybe a couple of days maybe a grace period?? Its like they weren't even thinking of selling that item till they saw it listed!!SO people on LYS I ask you....just give others a couple of days grace period before listing a similar item so they have a chance of getting their sold!!!!If you want to compete then go on eBAY!! 

Must be frustrating - however, I don't look at what's being listed by others - I have something to sell, I log in, post it and log out. 

Frankly, I think the sellers of LYS are conspiring against you. Maybe you should post all the items you intend sell, that way we can give you give five business days before posting any other items. 

I totally disagree with what you said. I don't think people see that someones selling a couch so they decide to sell theirs. But that's just my opinion. Im welcome to it and you're welcome to yours. 

lol @ Frank! Justin- it is PCS season, lots of people have to get rid of their stuff and quickly so there is no time to wait to post similar items. Also, like Julie, I log in and post my items without looking to see what everyone else has. And if a person wants your item they will buy it regardless of what else is out there. 

I think using that title is not a good way get your stuff sold. It does stink trying to sell used items no matter how good of condition they are in or what price they are. But if we all had to wait a few days between posts that are similar then there would be more complaints. Not everyone is looking for the same things we all want something different so having a few options help give everyone a little variety. 

I agree with Frank. Except Im evil and won't wait at all. I can see how thats frustrating but if your items are nice for a decent price, no other amount of the same item will keep it from selling. 

Justin....no matter where you are selling things...you are competing. You are competing for someone to purchase your goods. LYS is a website where people are trying to sell their stuff. Not where people are trying to make friends and make sure that no one else is trying to sell something similar. That's silly. Also, I'm sure people never thought to sell a couch on LYS until they saw yours posted. That makes perfect sense.
