Hmm in response to reasons to live out here in Ely...the house we are in is larger than any of the houses we were offered when my husband was an E-4 and we are a family of 4. There are beautiful play...

$6 on base? No way. Its only 25 minutes and 12 miles away from Lakenheath...but I am sure a lot of people think like you and that is why...thanks for the insight. We do use more gas living out here...

Anyone know why there are so many empty housing out here in RAF Ely housing?? The playgrounds are nice and Ely is a great little town....but seriously I have three neighbors in a set of 10 townhouses...
